Friday May 11 - Monday May 14- We spent 3 nights in Vegas for a wedding of some relatives we had only known about for a year and just met for the first time this weekend. My father in law's family had splintered off before he was born and he recently found a whole segment of half brothers and sisters and their families within the past 5 years or so. Last year, the "Florida Faction" met and hit it off and they're all the best of friends. One of the sons, Neil, and his fiance' Melissa, planned a gorgeous wedding at the Wynn. No reason not to go... it was my first time in Vegas and it was pretty cool. Well, Pretty HOT. But a lot of fun and it was nice to meet some cousins.
Neil & Melissa cutting the cake....
and the Wynn is the most decadent hotel I've ever seen and I want to hire their decorator!! (or maybe just smuggle their hallway furniture home in my pocket somehow).

We had a 2nd dinner Sunday night... around 10pm at Mario Batali's restaurant in the Venetian- San Marco. It's in the middle of "San Marcos Piazza" in the Venetian and it was the best meal we had in Vegas. Yes, we went to PFChang's in Planet Hollywood the 1st night and pigged out there, but for something very special, San Marco was it. We had a plate of cheese, some "salumi" and a bottle of vino. Dessert was a Tiramisu gelato and a Strawberry gelato dessert dishes... we sat at the counter and watched the guys work and prep some of the best looking salads and appetizers. This was a splurge as no bottle on the wine list was less than $60. Ours cost $70 and had I been at home, this would have never happened. But in Vegas, you gotta just do the insane!
